    Beauty Advertising

In the 1910's eye shadows, lips sticks and powders
where turned into compacts which allowed women
to take their beauty products outside the house.
Back then they used illustrations and drawings of
famous women in the advertisement, they would also
describe in detail about the product.

In the 1920's Make-up became more popular and
Hollywood glam with gleam and shimmer caught
by the lights on the red carpets. Women became
more sexy looking through the make-up and
beauty ads. Max Factor created  the cream
eye shadow for the glossy eyelids. Lipstick adds
 where full of pouting faces.

Despite the war that went on women still wore make-up to show their beauty for when the men came home, this is also the era where is became more popular for teenagers to wear make-up. Women would also leave lipstick kisses on letters and envelopes to their loved ones who are at war.

First term feedback

First term feedback

Overall with my graded I am really happy, I have never done anything like photography before and getting a 2:1 has really made me proud and want to work harder next term. I was quite worried at the beginning of the year as I hadn't had a clue about photography and didn't think I would be doing as well as I did. With practice, taking notes and doing research I got the hang of creating images and the theme that I was doing with was just beauty shots. I am really happy with my feedback and looking through my last blog and at the images I believe I can do more and will do more to try and push my grade up to a first.
